Ferns Decison by Bea Paige

Fern's Decision (Sisters of Hex: Fern, #1)Fern's Decision by Bea Paige
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading the Accacia Trilogy I had high hopes starting Fern's journey and expected the great quality and story writing which were constant throughout Accacia.
I loved the premise of the story, I mean 3 hot angels of death... What's not to love!
But what let it down for me was what felt like a rushed introduction of the characters. Other than Blake, which had a more meaty beginning, Fern's meeting of Ether & Mihr felt quite sparse and I couldn't help but make comparisons against the first Accacia book. It all just felt a little too familiar but with less detail.
However, once we got past the introductions and the story found it's feet when the gang headed for the Shadowlands things became much more exciting. The connection between Blake and Fern was fantastic and full of so much pain and angst that it kind overshadowed the other 2 angels. Currently I would be happy if it was just the 2 of them going forward so I am looking forward to book 2 and getting to know the rest of the group a little better.

Accacia's Bite - By Bea Paige

Accacia's Bite (Sisters of Hex: Accacia, #3)Accacia's Bite by Bea Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in the series and each one has been better than the last and this was no exception. Accacia's Bite is full of action, intrigue and lots of twists and turns that I devoured the whole book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down.

The story has now morphed into something I was not expecting but definitely not disappointed with. You could feel all way through the book that the author was building up to something big and she didn't fail and there is still more to come!

The next book can not come soon enough!

Accacia's Blood - By Bea Paige

Accacia's Blood (Sisters of Hex: Accacia, #2)Accacia's Blood by Bea Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

And Bea has done it again!

This series just gets better and better. It was great getting to know Ezra better as he had been overshadowed by the more dominant Rhain up until now. His pain and his anguish over his building attraction to Accacia is really felt throughout this story and with his history, it is easy to see why and sympathise with his surly ways.

Another 5 star story from this author and once again, I'm wasting no time jumping into the 3rd book.

Accacia's Curse - By Bea Paige

Accacia's Curse (Sisters of Hex: Accacia, #1)Accacia's Curse by Bea Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great start to a series!

From the first page you are thrown in to Accacia's story and become hooked in an instant. The story and the characters are so well written, it's hard not to fall in love with them and I found that it took no effort at all to become completely immeresed in their wrold.

I can't wait to read the next book and see how their relationships evolve and the story progresses.

Hell's Calling by Bea Paige

Hell's CallingHell's Calling by Bea Paige
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There was something so endearing about this story, it had a tarnished innocence feeling to it.
It caught my attention from the very first page right up until the very end and was a very quick and easy read.
My only criticism would be that the story needs a little more detail and character development. The book is quite short and could easily take a bit more padding.

That being said it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the story and I look forward to reading the next in series

Deal with the Devil - by Louisa George

A Deal with the DevilA Deal with the Devil by Louisa George
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found this book an enjoyable easy read, it was the book equivalent to easy listening on a sunny Sunder afternoon. It was smoothly written with likable characters and had plenty to keep you interested without being too taxing. It was refreshing to finally read a romance that wasn't laden with smut just for the sake of it, but appropriately placed in line with the story. This book would be the perfect travel companion

Closer than you think - by Karen Rose

Closer Than You Think (Faith Corcoran, #1)Closer Than You Think by Karen Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first Karen Rose book that I have read and I must say, it was excellent! It was packed full of chills, action and romance. So much so that I was reading every chance I could just to see what happens next. it has been a long while since I have found a book that has hooked me so quickly and throughout. I am now going to start working my way through the rest of her books, I just have to decide which to choose first...

Trial Run - by Ella Medler

Trial Run (Addicted To Love Romance Collection)Trial Run by Ella Medler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ella Medler has done it again!

Once again she has written a beautiful love story that captured my attention and my heart from the very first page. I instantly fell in love with Rob and Amelie and was completely enraptured by their story, but more surprisingly I found myself attached to Jason! There wasn't much about Jason in the book but Ella's smooth & descriptive writing style gave each of her characters such depth that it never made him seem like a background character and because of this, I am screaming SPIN OFF!! :)

This is the third book of Ella's I have read and I totally love her writing style. This book is no exception and has firmly cemented her as one of my favorite writers :D

Innocence Lost - by Helen Johnston

Innocence LostInnocence Lost by Helen Johnston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted this book by the author to give an honest review, so I didn't bother reading the description and just dived right in. I am so glad I did as this book blew my socks off as I was expecting your usual vampire romance novel. This book is so different to anything I have read before, it was really explicit and maybe a little excessive with the sex scenes towards the end but this book definitely stands out and keeps you gripped right until the end.

Not for the faint hearted or Twilight fans ;-)

Scorned (LeKrista Scott, Vampire Hunted #1)Scorned by Tyffani Clark Kemp
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is fantastic & highly addictive

It is packed full of action that will have you hooked right to the very end and then some, after reading this I immediately bought Hunted the second book and now, I am eagerly awaiting the third
The story was a little confusing at times as the pace was so fast and I would have liked a little more back ground on the characters but this in no way makes the book any less enjoyable

Beware both books end on cliffhangers that will have you pulling your hair and will have you picking sides with the men in LeKrista's life. I highly recommend this book , you won't be disappointed!

Team Roman all the way!!

Nikki's Revenge - by Caroline F Levy

Nikki's Revenge (The Woodlands Pack)Nikki's Revenge by Caroline F Levy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found this book an enjoyable quick read, the story was good and really well written.

The main characters had great chemistry although I did find them lacking the hot and heavy moments that I do usually enjoy from these types of books but that is my personal preference.

I am looking forward to the second book in the series and I would recommend this book to any paranormal fans out there.

Redemption in Blood - by Tara S. Wood

Redemption in Blood: A Novel of The PenitentRedemption in Blood: A Novel of The Penitent by Tara S. Wood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one sexy paranormal thriller!!

It was fast paced, exciting and steamy. The story alone was riveting!

From the moment I started reading this book I was hooked, the characters were so strong and passionate you will find it hard not to get sucked right in to the story along with them. And the chemistry between Decker and Vesper was electric!

This is one of the best paranormal adult books (definitely not YA material) I have read in a long time and I am now chewing my finger nails waiting for the next one...... Please Tara say they will be another Penitent book :)

Indigo Dawn - By Elle J Rossi

Indigo Dawn (Josie Hawk Chronicles, #1)Indigo Dawn by Elle J. Rossi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a fantastic book!

The story was fast paced and exciting, and the characters were brilliantly written.

I loved Josie's witty narrative and her snappy attitude, it was very refreshing to read a book where the female lead wasn't a helpless victim.

The chemistry between all the characters were brilliant (even the "B" characters) I would love to read more about the rest of the gang, maybe some sister novels??

I really enjoyed this book and I definitely can't wait for the next installment :)

Beautifully Wounded - By Susan Griscom

Beautifully Wounded (The Beaumont Brothers, #1)Beautifully Wounded by Susan Griscom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very enjoyable quick read.

When you write about domestic abuse there is a very fine line between too much detail that it becomes insensitive or very little detail so you can never empathize with the character as you will never get a full picture of what is happening. But Susan walks the line perfectly, the beginning of the book is very respectfully written and shows a true picture of domestic abuse without being insensitive.

This book kept me gripped from the very beginning, the only critique I can give (and the reason I didn't rate with 5 stars)is that there wasn't enough romantic moments between Lena and Jackson for me, I loved the interactions between them and I just wish there were more ;)
